I’ve been accused of lying for months — because I said the quiet part out loud.
Are Protestants actually worshiping God at all?

Catholics are constantly accused of worshiping Mary and the saints.
But those accusations collapse the moment worship is defined biblically. In this Firebrand Brief, I respond to months of backlash by laying out what worship actually is — not emotionally, not culturally, but theologically and historically. Worship is not just praise.

It is not singing. It is not personal devotion. Biblically speaking, worship is liturgical, sacrificial, and priestly.
And once that definition is clear, two conclusions follow:
Catholics cannot worship Mary — even if we wanted to.

Many Protestant Sunday services begin to look like veneration, not worship.
This isn’t about attacking Protestants. It’s about defending Catholic identity, restoring clarity about the Mass, and refusing to water down theology in the name of being “nice.”
I also address:
Why some Catholics and even clergy resist this conversation
Why avoiding hard truths has hollowed out catechesis
Why clarity attracts more than compromise ever will
If worship matters — and it does — then precision matters too.
